5 Film Fare Awards for 'Vazhakku En 18/9' and 'Kumki'

Producer Linguswamy is all smiles, as his films 'Vazhakku En 18/9' and 'Kumki' are piling up awards after another. While 'Vazhakku En 18/9' bagged two National Awards, 'Kumki' amassed 9 top honour awards at Norway Tamil film awards.



Now the movies have collectively snapped five Film Fare Awards too. While 'Vazhakku En 18/9' was unanimously chosen for the Best Film Award, director Balaji Sakthivel was chosen to be the Best Director and Imman to be the Best Music Director. Poet Yuga Bharathi received the award for the Best Lyricist and Thambi Ramaiyah was awarded the Best Supporting Actor for the film 'Kumki'. Speaking to the media, Linguswamy offered his thanks to the unparalleled support offered by the audience and media alike to bring out such great success stories, and requested for the same to continue.
