Vikram blessed by Rajini

IndiaGlitz [Monday, June 04, 2012]

That Superstar Rajinikanth shares a special relationship with the family of thespian Sivaji Ganesan is an open secret. In fact, Rajini's biggest hit 'Chandramukhi' was produced by Sivaji Films, run by the Nadigar Thilakam's sons Prabhu and Ramkumar.

Now that Prabhu's son Vikram is making his foray into acting with Prabhu Solomon directed 'Kumki', it is obvious that he would seek the blessings of Rajini. Recently, he met the Superstar at the latter's house and sought his greetings.

"Rajini became a warm host and wished Vikram all the best in his acting career. He offered tips to Vikram as to how to excel in front of the camera. Also, Rajini was keen to know the storyline and other details of Kumki," say sources.

Recently, Vikram met Ajith and sought his wishes too. 'Kumki' is being produced by Lingusamy's Tirupathi Brothers and the film is about an elephant and its mahout intertwined with a love story.

Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki has Vikram Prabhu grandson of Sivaji Ganesan, debuting as the main lead.

The movie is a much awaited flick with Myna the director’s previous outing to have been successful at the box office as well as critically acclaimed.
With Kumki almost nearing completion, the actor is busy getting the blessings from his seniors, to mark a good start in the industry.

Earlier, the actor approached Ajith Kumar and the star blessed Vikram heartily and now it is the Superstar, Vikram has sought for blessings. The debutant met and thronged at the Superstar’s feet and got his blessings. The actor seemed to have briefed on Kumki and his role in it and seems to have been elated meeting the superstar.

Kumki under Prabhu Solomon’s direction, produced by Thirupathi Brothers has Lakshmi Menon as the female lead. D.Imman is scoring the music and cinematography by Sukumar.

Yuvan Shankar Raja’s magic is wearing off as none of the songs stay in your mind. The only silver lining is Vijay Milton’s camera which is eye catching especially the song picturised in Jordan.
On the whole Deepavali is a heartless love story.
Bhavna is a promising actress. Young and fresh, she glides through each scene with panache and effortlessly.
In all, Deepavali has all the ingredients to become a good entertainer.

Director Lingusamy has stuck to the genre that he has chosen for most part. He has recorded romance in a beautiful manner especially when Karthi communicates his feelings to his friends seeking advice and his dignified attitude towards Tamannah. The car chasing sequence in the open field is absolutely brilliant and so is Karthi going reverse in the opposite direction. Cinematographer Madhie needs plaudits here. Crisp editing by Anthony especially in the action sequences is a major plus point of Paiyaa and deserves a special mention.
