KUMKI’S EXTRAORDINARY COLLECTIONS!
Prabhu Solomon directed Kumki is a mega hit! According to trade sources, all the distributors who had bought the film on MG basis will recover their money within 10 days’ time; thanks to the mad rush among the movie buffs to see this film. The net collections of this film, in Tamil Nadu alone, on December 14th were 3.63 crores and for the second day it was Rs 3.25 crores. With the total collections amounting to Rs. 6.88 crores for the first two days, there is a strong indication that the collections would go up in the days to come with a good word of mouth spreading about Kumki.
The film starring, Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon as the lead pair, is produced byLingusamy’s Thirrupathi Brothers and distributed by KE Gnanavel Raja’s Studio Green.
KUMKI GETS MORE SCREENS!
Kumki has turned out to be a huge success! The latest news from the industry is that more screens will be added from December 21st onwards to cash in on the holiday season. With the Christmas round the corner and the holiday season beginning, more screens and shows will be added, we hear.
With more theatres, the family audiences are sure to have a great time entertaining themselves during the festive season.
KUMKI HAS NO OTHER CLIMAX!
Director Prabhu Solomon‘s “Kumki” hit the screens on the 14th of this month and has been praised to high heavens since then. The film, starring Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon is splendid in music, visuals and performance of actors. All of this is good news.
“Kumki” has its share of badmouthing too. A rumor has been travelling that there are two other climaxes for “Kumki” which weren’t opted for. One of the other climaxes is said to be a happy ending.
A source close to Studio Green says that the rumors are the results of someone’s imagination running wild and also that the highlight of “Kumki” is it’s present climax.
